Within the framework of the Industrial Problem Solving Workshop 2020 (SPI 2020), CIMAT and the Institute of Data Valorization (IVADO) from Montreal, Canada, invite to the Fin-ML/IVADO Workshop.

Fin-ML/IVADO Workshop is a three-day practical training in machine learning, applied to concrete problems in various industries. This workshop will consist of theory sessions in the morning, followed by problem-solving workshops in finance and insurance in the afternoon.

At the end of this introductory workshop, the participant will be able to:
⁃ Get a comprehensive overview of the most widely used methods and techniques in applied machine learning;
⁃ Develop an understanding of the challenges and issues of data science applied to a specific field;
⁃ Become familiar with modern computer language, tools and libraries with a view towards solving concrete problems;
⁃ Start tackling industry problems with a new set of tools and methods;

This workshop is part of the SPI 2020, so preference will be given to students, academics and professionals accepted in that event (http://spi.eventos.cimat.mx/).
